Diversity in Business (DIB) is part of Bhr Consulting whose aim is to help you identify and implement strategies and processes that will attract, encourage and develop your people to give you that competitive advantage.

Diversity in Business is run by Jon Whiteley, a seasoned practitioner in the area who has been developing strategies and raising awareness across all business sectors for the last 15 years. Jon’s teams are all pragmatic, skilled individuals who have themselves developed and delivered Diversity strategies across a range of businesses. The team members possess the critical skills set to work in this area: A full understanding of Diversity issues and a commercially astute mind set.

Jon and his team are able to provide support, guidance and advice in relation to all aspects of Diversity and inclusion management. This ranges from the strategic to the tactical on either a macro or a micro basis.

	Managing Director

	Jon Whiteley is a board member of BHr Consulting. Jon’s background is in Retail Financial services where he was Senior Diversity Manager at Lloyds TSB and directed key strategies for the Board and senior manager populations. He has firmly positioned Diversity as a mainstream business issue and argues that ownership for a diversity strategy resides with Business Managers responsible for delivering the Business agenda. As well as his role at LloydsTSB Jon has headed up successful Diversity practices at both a firm of Occupational Psychologist and an RPO business before founding Diversity in Business in March 2005. Jon has directed a number of key strategic and tactical programmes ranging from “starter strategies “ through to revisiting and revamping diversity strategies for organizations at the vanguard of diversity leadership. A sample of his present and previous clients includes: Npower British Airways European Central Bank Barclays Asia Wells Fargo (USA) JP Morgan Merrill Lynch BT Global Services Ministry of Defence Amey Group plc American Express E-On Energy Cap Gemini City University Greater London Authority As well as promoting the mainstream business argument Jon has worked with a number of clients on cross cultural team and dynamic issues focusing heavily on national traits and stereotypes. A large amount of his work across Europe focuses on the barriers that face underrepresented groups from advancing into senior management roles and working through both policies and behavioral issues which can contribute to marginal behaviors. Jon is currently working with a number of clients to ensure that they are equipped to compete effectively for tender bids within the public sector and in particular for work with the Olympic Delivery Authority. At the request of Personnel Today Jon has recently written the “One Stop Guide to Managing Diversity” and is a regular commentator in the press and on radio on Diversity Business issues. Jon has recently sat on the Ministry of Defense Strategic Diversity panel and is a founding member of the European Supplier Diversity Network. He has recently established and chaired the Diversity in Business Network including key founder member brands such as (BT/Yahoo/Coors/Npower/Amey) who practice honest and transparent debate around the diversity agenda.
